👥 Who Can Join

• Boys only, ages 15 and above
• Must be able to read the Qur'an fluently
• There will be a placement test to determine whether the student can participate.

Jāmiʿ al-ʿUlūm wal-Ḥikam fī Sharḥ Khamsīn Ḥadīthan min Jawāmiʿ al-Kalim (The Compendium of Knowledge and Wisdom: Commentary on Fifty Comprehensive Prophetic Narrations) by Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali.

This remarkable work is one of the most celebrated commentaries on the Forty Hadith tradition. The book explains fifty concise yet comprehensive sayings of the Prophet ﷺ that encapsulate foundational principles of Islam.

We'll now be meeting biweekly on Thursdays from 7:00–8:30 PM, starting September 10th.

Each session features a different discussion focused on building the heart and character of a true believer, while exploring contemporary issues and the challenges young Muslims face today through the lens of Islam. Come strengthen your faith, ask questions, and connect with other sisters in a welcoming and supportive environment.

We warmly invite sisters (ages 17–26) to join our Surah Al-Kahf Reflection, Tafsir & Memorization Halaqa.

🌱 Alongside our study, we'll follow a structured memorization plan, with regular review and encouragement, in shaa Allah.

🗨️ Classes will be conducted in Arabic, with brief English explanations when needed. Understanding of spoken Arabic at a basic level is sufficient.

✨ This is more than a class — it is a journey to live with Surah Al-Kahf, not simply to recite it.

Our children are growing up in a world very different from the one we knew. They are facing challenges we never had to face, navigating questions we never had to answer at their age, and carrying pressures that follow them wherever they go.

More than answers, they need conviction.
More than fitting in, they need the confidence to stand firm in who they are.

We are excited to invite our youth to ANCHORED — a year-long journey designed especially for Muslim youth ages 9–13. Through engaging discussions, debates, evidence-based learning, and team challenges, we hope to strengthen both faith and character while equipping our children to navigate the realities of growing up in today's world.

In collaboration between Muslim Association of Kirkland (MAK) & Risalah School of Excellence (RISE).

A new Seerah class for girls at MAK. Students will follow the life journey of the Prophet ﷺ and learn to reflect on the Qur'anic verses revealed in correspondence with his life events — so seerah and Qur'an come alive together.

• The difference between Makki and Madani surahs
• The Prophet's ﷺ biography and his life stages
• Circumstances of revelation tied to his ﷺ experiences
• A closer study of surahs and ayahs such as Surat Al-Fath
• Why the Qur'an was revealed over 23 years rather than all at once
• How we can continue to live by the Qur'an in our world today

Learning the lives of the Prophets is not an intellectual luxury, nor are their stories simply tales we tell our children. Their stories are fuel for believing hearts, a compass in times of trials and estrangement, and a standard by which we realign our thoughts, values, and understanding of life.

We want our children not simply to learn the stories of the Prophets, but to seek guidance through them and to follow their footsteps.

MAK is offering an Advanced Arabic program for Arabic speakers, designed to help students strengthen their Arabic skills while building a strong foundation in grammar, reading, writing, and communication.

The program will also connect Arabic learning to the Qur'an, giving students opportunities to apply their language skills through Qur'an reading, understanding, and practice.
